John Lennon was born on October 9th 1940 in Liverpool. He was a musician and singer-songwriter. In 1956, he founded the band Quarrymen which became The Beatles with Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. In 1962, he got married with Cynthia Powell and he had a son, Julian. In 1969, he got married with Yoko Ono who was a Japanese artist. She was his inspiration. For John Lennon and his wife peace in the world was very important. In 1970 The Beatles parted and he began a solo career. In 1975 he settled in New York and he had a son with Yoko Ono. He stopped his career to be with his son. In 1980 he was killed in Central Park by a fan who was twenty five years old.
